TOMORROW! Saturday, September 14th! Walk, Run, Bike, Shop Local, Pledge to be Car-Free/Car-Light
As we approach the upcoming weeks of Climate Strike’s and activities locally, regionally and nationally…heres a couple of things you can do!
1. Stop by Ossining’s Down to Earth Markets (Ossining, NY) before or after the Ossining MATTERS 17th Annual 5K/2M Walk/Run and meet up with our friend Modou Cham from 511NY and take the Pledge to go Car-Free or Car Light on Car Free Day, next Friday, September 20th. Ossining was a the top of the list for pledges last year – please be competitive and make the PLEDGE. (There are a number of Climate March’s and Strikes begining on September 20th too but we’ll save that for another post!)
2. At Noon tomorrow, join Green Ossining member Kate Marshall as she leads a bike ride from the Farmers Market to Scarborough Train Station. This is appropriate for Kids of all ages (make sure to wear a helmet).
