The Day’s Agenda:  (Please come for the time you can–don’t miss it because you can’t be there the whole time!) 10:00am  Meet & Greet

  • 10:15am  Begin Cutting!
  • 12:30pm  Break for lunch (bring brown bag & water–we’ll provide hot drinks). Swap stories. Special presentation by Nature Center staff.
  • 1:30pm   Resume Cutting (for those who stay/or those who just came)
  • 3:00pm   Wrap Up

Where: The Croton Point Park. 1A Croton Point Ave, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520

Parking & Check-in: Park in the main parking lot which is located after you enter the park and pass the park office. Once you park, there will be a van shuttle to the Kitchawan Lodge (or 10-minute walk) which will be the base for the day.

Weather:  All weather dependent. If it’s really cold or miserable, we’ll go for the rain date, Saturday, March 29th, same time and place. If it starts getting miserable when we’re out there, we’ll close up early. Please feel free to attend as much as you can. Some people will be coming in the morning, others may not make it until lunch and then cut in the afternoon.

To Bring: Please bring your own lunch and water. Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, gloves. Bring your own tools if you can (loppers, clippers, hand saws)–we will have equipment and gloves available for those who don’t have any.
