THIS SATURDAY! Join us for our Inaugural Community Bike Ride on the MOGO!

Join the Town of Ossining, The Village of Ossining, Green Ossining, and the Westchester Cycle Club for an Inaugural Community Bike Ride on MOGO, helping to give us a head start on our celebration of Car Free Day on Friday, September 21st.

What’s is MOGO? Local municipalities have been working to create routes from downtown areas to the North County and South County Trails.  Millwood-Ossining-Go! (MOGO)  has worked with Westechester Cycle Club to create several routes, and this ride is your first opportunity to ride with an escort!

Westchester Bike Club’s Kate and Victor will lead a multi-level group using a modified version of the Briarcliff Route, starting at Ossining High School (Wolden Road Lot). The group will make our way to the trail and ride for a while, (the distance can be modified and/or differentiated depending on the needs of the group) and then ride back to OHS for Victor’s famous Flat Tire Workshop (optional).

This is a great ride for anyone living locally who would like to become more active on the bike. The North County Trail/South County Trail is a great place to ride, and riding from home is the perfect way to nurture mind, body and spirit and the planet! There will be lots of support during the ride, and we will give a safety talk before getting started, but please be prepared with a working bike (with gears- yes there are some hills). We will have a pump and can help you at the start, but if you have not been out on your bike for a while, it’s a good idea to take it to a local bike shop to get tuned up. A helmet is a MUST and please bring a water bottle.

Rain will cancel the ride, so check back by 7:00am that morning for an update.   You can catch the most up-to-date info on this event on our Facebook Event post: www.facebook.com/events/660954257619983/
