Ossining is having a Seed Swap!
 
Join Green Ossining, Ossining Pollinator Pathway‘s Margaret Phelan and Ossining GardensErika Boetsch (also Chair of The Village of Ossining’s Environmental Advisory Council) for this event. We’re partnering with our friends at the Ossining Farmers Market (Down to Earth Markets) on Saturday, September 25th (8:30a-1p).

 
RULES:
Try to pre-package 15-20 seeds, ideally in re-purposed envelopes (i.e., those that come with bills) . Vegetable seeds should be open-pollinated.

Packages should contain the following info:
1. Light requirements: Sun/ part sun/ shade
2. Moisture requirements: Wet soil/ Average/ Dry
3. Plant name (scientific if possible, but not necessary)
4. Annual or perennial
5. Grown organically?
6. Other relevant/ interesting info (e.g. pollinator favorite, tolerates poor soil, tolerates heat, etc.)
