Green Ossining’s 10th Annual Earth Day Festival Rescheduled for September 26th.

We held out for as long as we reasonably could in the hopes that we could still hold Green Ossining’s 10th Annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 25th. We have been monitoring developments like many of you and while saddened to report that we cannot hold our event when planned, we have decided to reschedule it until Saturday, September 26th.  Hours (10a-5p) and location (Louis Engel Waterfront Park) are unchanged.

Please know
this was not an easy decision as we have come to learn that the Festival often marks the happy beginning of larger outdoor gatherings of friends and neighbors. However, as we remain uncertain about when the safety of public gatherings will not be questioned, we have determined that postponing until the Fall may be the best Plan B so as not to interfere with other previously planned events (that we hope will happen!). And as we are intent on making sure that environmental advocacy does not get diluted in the current reality of health and safety issues, we remain focused on planning to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day and the 10th anniversary of our tribute to it.

We hope you will join us on our rescheduled date to celebrate our earth and the ecosystems in which we work, live, and play.

On behalf of all of us at Green Ossining, we send wishes for good health to you and your loved ones
