7th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep

May 5, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Join Green Ossining and Riverkeeper for a cleanup of Ossining’s shoreline on Saturday, May 5, 2018 for the 7th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries.

Volunteers will meet at the stage at Louis Engel Waterfront Park (160 Westerly Road, Ossining, 10562), where parking will be available at Ossining’s Metro North Train Station. You can park and/or walk to the Riverside of the train station to find us. Louis Engel Waterfront Park is located across the MetroNorth tracks just south of the Ossining Train Station. We ask all Sweep volunteers to wear sturdy shoes or boots, clothing that they can get dirty, and to bring a hat, a reusable water bottle, and snacks. If possible, a pair of waterproof gloves are a plus! This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with proper adult supervision.

Questions? Contact Riverkeeper at sweep@riverkeeper.org or site leaders Suzie Ross at suzie.e.ross@gmail.com.

Sweep would not be possible without the support of Riverkeeper volunteers and members. Magnify your impact at Sweep by joining our Sweep Crowdrise campaign! When you build your own Crowdrise team or join an existing one, you demonstrate your commitment to a trash-free Hudson and inspire your network to support Riverkeeper’s work to protect the Hudson River and its tributaries. You and your Crowdrise supporters will become Riverkeeper members, and the more members we have standing with us, the more we can accomplish together.
