Stash-the-Trash-Poster-2013

Last night we announced the winner of the Stash the Trash Poster contest that our good friends at the Ossining Schools had during the month of February.  With the winner announced awe are ready to send out our Stash the Trash TEAM forms.

As stated on the form the first 10 teams to register will receive Green Ossining water bottles for each of their team mates.  What a great way to truly be green by using these great bottles instead of plastic water bottles.  Everyone will receive tee-shirts for your team as well as recyclable plastic bags.  If you need gloves they will be available at the JGC Community Center on April 20th (rain date April 27th)

Please pass this information on to friends, family, neighbors, groups of employees, service organizations, social groups, political groups and acquaintances.  Have them scan the form in and email to sdonnelly@townofossining.com or drop it off at 16 Croton Ave the Town Clerk’s office or bring it upstairs to the Supervisor’s Office …we would love to say HI!! to you.

You can pick your stuff up on April 20th between 10am -1pm at the following four locations:  Joseph G Caputo Community Center, Louis Engel Waterfront Park, Jug Tavern, of the Ossining Historical Society  OR you will be able to pick up your supplies at the Joseph G Caputo Community Center’s front desk before April 20th .

YOU must be pre-registered and give us 5 working days to put your team package together.

Looking forward to everyone chipping in to make all of the Town of Ossining a great place to live by making it a little cleaner after Superstorm Sandy and a tough winter.

Well it is that time again to begin the planning for the 2013 Earth Day Celebration and Stash the Trash.  Every year it becomes more obvious that the world is changing.  Climate change has changed the climate in our area, caused more super storms and the rising tides of the oceans and our own Hudson River cannot be ignored.  Flood levels are changing yearly to the point that every community must rethink their building on or near waterfronts.

The tentative date for the Greater Ossining Earth Day/ Stash the Trash 2013 is April 20, 2013 with a rain date of April 27, 2013. The hours of operation 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We need to work together for the sake of ourselves but more importantly our children, and grandchildren.

Come join a group of enthusiastic pro active people as we plan and execute a day to remember of learning, food, fun and music.
