Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Westchester County launched its Home Energy Assessment program on September 1st. The program will be offering limited free home energy assessments for 2,000 Westchester County residents on a first come first serve basis. The assessments will be offered by a team of Home Energy contractors from:

  • Bright Homes Energy Ideas — Comfort Solutions — Green Star Energy Solutions
  • All HVAC Service — Bright Home Energy Solutions — Franszoso Contracting

Home owners are eligible for the program if they meet all of following criteria:
a. The prospective Client’s property must be located in Westchester County.
b. The person calling the Call Center must be the owner of the property.
c. The prospective Client’s dwelling must be 4,000 square feet or less.

Homeowners will be directed to call 211 for an appointment beginning September 1 to May 31, 2011. A representative will screen the prospective homeowners to determine whether they qualify for a free home energy assessment and answer any questions.

An authorized contractor will then call the homeowner within 24 hours to schedule an appointment.
